Come Hungry: Without Your Foot in Your Mouth

It is imperative that we come to the bible empty. We need to come empty so the Lord will fill our hunger pains. He is the living water that will quench your thirst. The historicity and truth of the bible is the meat and potatoes of its accuracy. If we do not come to the bible willing to understand his truth, closed by the things of this world then you are coming full without any room to be fed by a Holy Spirit. When you open your bible, open it with hunger and joy. If you have a living bone in your body it will be impossible to leave empty. Christ did feed the four thousand and the five thousand with loaves and fish, but we are speaking about a spiritual feeding. A meal that feeds the soul and makes a change in you that is unbreakable because it is a gift from an omnipotent God. We must have an unbreakable conviction that Christ died for our sins and God resurrected him from the dead to save our pathetic behind. We serve a gracious God and when you are starving, Christ will fill your plate with his meat and potatoes and he will quench your thirst. If what you seek is not pleasing you and I would bank that it is not; seek God and call upon the Holy Spirit. Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty” John 6:35.
